Professional Standards Training
Need to train your volunteers? This course is a full day course designed for Grievance Committees, Professional Standards Committees and your Board of Directors. Through interactive role plays and scenarios your volunteers will understand their specific duties for the positions they hold. This course will be customized to your association policies. Customized to your choices, no two are ever the same. We start the day with a Survey of Knowledge using Kahoot with prizes! You will never wonder how competitive REALTORS are after witnessing this morning icebreaker. Loads of fun, lots of information and contains the learning objectives for NAR Continuing Member Ethics requirement. Half day and Full Day training available.
Leadership Training
No boring content here! All members are different, come from different backgrounds and become volunteers. Start your volunteer’s year off right by knowing what their roles are, the different duties of volunteers and staff, how to work together, what your bylaws and policies say and why they matter. Great for both Elected Leadership and Committee Leadership Learn the basics of leadership and how to work as a team. Find the hidden strengths and set your sights on a great year. Customized learning using individual associations bylaws and policies. Can be combined with Professional Standards shortened course for a full day experience.
Ethics and the Law
Ever wonder what the Code of Ethics and the Law have in Common? Attendees will learn the differences and similarities between the two. Fun scenarios, fact-based situations, group assignments make this ½ class fun and engaging. Can be customized to be state specific. Meets NAR Continuing Member Ethics requirement. Continuing Education Elective Credit in NC.
Mediation Training
An interactive two day course designed to help you learn and enhance the skills, tips and tricks of the mediation process and conflict resolution. Is your desire to assist others resolving their conflicts as a mediator? This is for you. Need tips and tricks to deal with office issues, disputes and not so happy people? This is for you. Think you would like to be a better negotiator and guide your clients through structuring a better deal? This is for you. Do you deal with people? Church groups, youth sports, Clubs, Children, Family, Friends? This is definitely for you! You will see an entire mediation, learn the skills and participate as a mediator and as a complainant and respondent on day 2.
Ombudsman Training
The perfect Add on to Mediation Training or as a Standalone, this training will guide you to becoming the Ombudsman of choice. As of January 1, 2016 all associations are required to offer Ombudsman services. Attendees will role play scenarios, learn the do’s and don’ts and what your obligations are as an Ombuds. Participants will feel ready to assist after completion of this half day course. Can be customized to your Ombuds protocol.
Risky Business, Doing it Right
Who uses computers? Who uses email? Who advertises on online? Who posts on social media? Instagram? Facebook? Who tweets?
So, how do we “do it right”? How do we avoid the pitfalls, keep ourselves and our clients safe and avoid the ever-increasing hazards presented to us in a world of everchanging technological advances and new threats every day?
While this course is not intended to make you an expert on any of these topics, it will make you aware of threats you face in the course of doing business.
