Stephanie Walker has been in the real estate business for more than 3 decades. That’s a lot of material for use in her energetic and informative classes. Her experiences, both in the field and volunteering at all levels of the REALTOR® association, give her plenty of real life, in the trenches stories to supplement her courses with actual scenarios that bring relevance, substance, and humor to attendees.

Her newest offering, “Risky Business, Doing it Right” was just awarded the coveted 2019 Program of the Year award from the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Foundation. “Doing the right thing is not the problem. Knowing what the right thing is, that’s the challenge”. Attendees remark that sessions with Stephanie are enjoyable, informative, interactive and full of real world examples that are relavent to the issues they face on a daily basis. She has found a way to make Ethics fun!

Stephanie holds the ABR, CDPE, CRS, GRI, RSPS, SFR, and SRES designations and is trained in both REALTOR® and Superior Court Mediation. She is an instructor in Professional Standards Administration, Procedures and Process, Ethics, License Law, the NCREC annual update courses, GRI classes, REALTOR® Mediation, Ombudsman Training, Leadership Training and has become the “Go to” for Professional Standards and Ethics questions.

As the Broker/Owner of Stephanie Walker & Associates on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, she is a past President of both the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS and the North Carolina Association of REALTORS. At the national level, Stephanie currently is the 2019 Law and Policy Liaison. She has served on the NAR Professional Standards Committee, the Interpretations and Procedures Advisory Board, the Resort Real Estate Committee and on NAR Board of Directors since 2010. Stephanie served as the 2012 Chair of the National Association of REALTORS® Professional Standards Committee and the 2013 and 2014 Chair of the NAR Interpretations and Procedures Advisory Board. In 2015, she served as Liaison to the NAR President, serving the Association Executive Committees, Local and State Leadership Forums and serving on the NAR Executive Committee.

At the state level, Stephanie served as President in 2011 and was honored as the 2016 NC REALTORS® REALTOR of the Year. She has chaired the Bylaws and Professional Standards Committees, twice received with the NCAR Presidents award and is a recipient of the NCAR Regional Service Award. She currently serves as Chair for the NC REALTORS® William C. Bass Leadership Academy and is a long serving member of the Professional Standards Committee.
